Who am I
I'm a narrative visual designer and character artist working across games, with a strong focus on worldbuilding, player expression, and game mechanics.
I've been playing MovieStarPlanet since I was 14, and one of my favorite things has always been creating outfits and experimenting with item colors. Over the years, I saw color picker projects appear and disappear, and eventually realized there wasn't an active, reliable project serving the community anymore. That inspired me to create something of my own.
That's how StarCity was born. StarCity is a color picker platform for both the classic Flash based MSP1 and the Unity powered MSP2, allowing players to customize and explore item colors outside of the game. What started as a passion project quickly grew into something much bigger, bringing together creativity, technical problem solving, and a community of players who love personalization as much as I do.
Building StarCity has been an incredible journey. It has taught me a great deal about UI and UX design and product development, while also helping me improve my skills in visual communication, player focused design, and project management. Every feature, update, and design decision has given me valuable experience in creating tools that are both functional and enjoyable to use.
Creating for the MSP community remains one of my biggest passions, and my long term goal is to become a UI designer working on larger game projects. StarCity has shown me how much I enjoy designing experiences that empower players, and it continues to motivate me to learn, create, and push my skills even further.
I didn't set out to build a "platform." I just kept hitting the same problems in MSP and figured I could fix a few of them.
Basically, I just want MSP to be a better experience for everyone who still plays it, myself included.
Thanks for reading this far. If you play MSP, I really hope StarCity makes it a little better for you.
